Twist Vacuum Cap

The Twist Vacuum-CapTM creates vacuum inside storage containers through reduction of oxygen concentrations by more than 85% and reduction of humidity levels by more than 50% every time the storage container is reclosed by the consumer.

Most of the products in sealed storage containers (e.g.: food, beverages, medical drugs, cosmetics, chemicals, etc.)  start losing their qualities, such as stability, efficacy, aroma and flavor, once consumers open the storage container for the first time. After oxygen and humidity have entered the storage container, this deterioration process continues inside the container even after reclosure. Consequently, this continuous exposure to air results in oxidation, moisture damage and bacterial infiltration that eventually shorten product shelf life.

In order to prevent such deterioration, the Twist Vacuum-CapTM technology enables the creation and maintenance of vacuum inside the container every time the lid is used for its reclosure.

The Twist Vacuum-CapTM has a simple threaded closure geometry similar to that of any standard lid, yet uniquely designed as a rotating “air pump” for creating significant vacuum within the storage container (at levels of up to 0.85 Bar). The vacuum is created seamlessly inside the container every time the consumer manually rotates the lid for closing the container.

By using the Twist Vacuum-CapTM technology, the product inside the storage container can be kept under vacuum conditions throughout its life span.

The Twist Vacuum-CapTM technology includes a child resistance (CR) mechanism as a safety feature and generates relatively high levels of vacuum after just a few simple rotations.

Vacuum Indicator

In addition, the Twist Vacuum CapTM is also featured with a vacuum indicator that provides consumers with a clear visual indication that all air is pumped away from the storage container. It also includes a filtration unit for creating vacuum inside containers of light powders.

The Twist Vacuum CapTM technology fits a wide range of storage containers including all standard container sizes made of a wide range of materials that include plastic, glass and metal.
